name resolution

First: assume I know nothing!
I connect to the internet through a D-Link DSL-504 router.
My problem is that I can browse using IP addresses only.
How do I fix that in Mandrake 8.2?
TIA - David

/etc/resolv.conf and add your entries of your DNS servers you use to browse by name in this format:

nameserver x.x.x.x
nameserver x.x.x.x

Thanx for rapid response...works fine now
I have had mandrake 6.2, 7.2, 8.1 up at various times. Sound worked fine in all. Not working in 8.2 Sound is DCS 817. Is there a new issue with this card or did they do something different with 8.2?
TIA - David
