[resolution 1600 x 1200] Virtual resolution - help!

Hi all

I have got a question about virtual resolution. I am currently using a Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 (see http://www.hyundaiq.com/pro_q995.asp for more details) 19" screen, wich is able to show my desktop at a resolution of 1600 x 1200 px.

In WinOS everything is fine, but in Linux (Suse 9.1 - 32 bit) a virtual resolution is enabled. If I disable this one I can't get a resolution of 1600 x 1200 px.

I use an ATI radeon 9600 XT, but the drivers aren't installed (problem issue's after installing, the runlevel 5 can't be loaded and after typing 'init 5', logged in as root, the same problems accuring after rebooting).

The configuration of my screen are set as the manual of my screen allow me tho set them. But therefor Yast still says he can't find the screen.

All I want is that my desktop is showed with the full resolution of 1600 x 1200 px without using the virtual resolution.

My screen:

1600 x 1200 @ 75 Hz (Max. Resolution)

Scanning Frequency
Horizontal: 30k ~ 96 kHz
Vertical: 50 ~ 150 Hz

If anyone could help me with this problem, I would be very thankful

Greetings,
Maico

Modeline generator:http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl

It suggests:
Code:
Modeline "1600x1200@75" 245.66 1600 1632 2560 2592 1200 1223 1238 1261
To see what to do with this, and how to tweak it, read http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/XFree86-Vi...WTO/index.html

Thanks, I will save any files and webpages because at home, I work offline. Normally it will be next monday when I can update any information about this problem concerning me.
