Multiple issues with Antergos/Deepin after holding print screen button for over 10 seconds
Hello everyone (again)!
I was trying to discover some hotkeys and a possible shortcut to edit screenshot options by holding the print screen button down. I held it for ~15-20 seconds and when I released, the system completely locked up (I imagine while it was attempting to screenshot). I had to hold the power button down on the PC to restart it. Once it booted back, ALL of my personalisations were gone. My wallpaper had reverted back to the original Deepin wallpaper and everything I added to the dock was gone. I really don't even know where to begin to fix this. I removed deepin entirely with:
pacman -Rc deepin deepin-extra
and then reinstalled deepin by:
pacman -S deepin deepin-extra
But to no avail. Everything is still how it was when it messed up. I cannot even change the wallpaper. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I have attempted holding down the print screen button again, but it does nothing (will not even take a screenshot). Any advice or help on this would be absolutely awesome.
when I attempt gnome-screenshot in terminal as root I get:
[root@timmeh tim]# gnome-screenshot
(gnome-screenshot:1564): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL *: g_dbus_connection_call_sync_internal: assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_CONNECTION (connection)' failed * Message: Unable to use GNOME Shell's builtin screenshot interface, resorting to fallback X11.
(gnome-screenshot:1564): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
And screenfetch is no longer taking screenshots either, thought it is not giving me any errors.
