how to make it so holding power button for 5 seconds turns pc off?

Right now, if I just hit the button at all, it'll shut off, and I often hit it with my foot by accident which is obviously really annoying. I'm using more or less a basic slackware 10.2 install, with the sata.i bios. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with acpi or not, but if needed I could recompile my kernel to add support for that, but how do I go about fixing this? I'm not sure what to even search for so sorry if this is a simple question, I'm sure it is.

isnt that a bios thing? I have it in my bios, where I choose whether I want it to shut off right away or after 4sec.

no it's not a bios thing, in windows I have to hold it down, in slackware I don't, it just shuts off right away.

it's in my bios settings too. kryptobs2000, maybe windows is adding in an extra level of precaution even though your bios is set to shutoff straight away, which is why from within slackware it just kills the power?

I figured it out, recompiled my kernel with acpi support and it seems to work now.
