This might happen if there isn't anything mounted in these directories. Also, depending on the options in /etc/fstab a user might not be able to mount the drives, and would then also see a lock. If you aren't sure on what to do on the drives in question, you can search around a little and probably find an answer, if you don't, post your /etc/fstab file here, and let someone take a stab at it.
