Linux 6.2 on ps3

I'm having trouble with Linux this is my first time using it on my psp 3 everything seen to work fine,except when open the ADD/REMOVE software or the software updater it keep telling me this:
unable to retrieve software information
help me!! please

Which distro-- Red Hat 6.2, Zenwalk 6.2, Yellow Dog 6.2?

Is your PS3 connected to the internet?

yes connected to the in internet.and its working fine
