help with linux on ps3

I have just installed(partially) gentoo on ps3 and I have no idea how to get back to the original ps3 operating system. I inserted the live cd and I switched the default operating sytem over too gentoo. I never actualy fully installed gentoo just whatever installs after you go to system/other operating system. So now when my ps3 starts up even when I take out the HDD the linux interface starts up and has two penguins at the top and it just says kboot: . My knowledge of linux is extremely limited so sorry about the discription. Your help would be very much appreciated.

kboot is the ps3 bootloader, you are looking at it's prompt.

You should be able to boot from the game OS by selecting it in the PS3 System Menu.
