kernel query ???

Dear all,
I need to load a specificily made kernel 2.6.14 over a special small processor called PXA271.I have down loaded this kernel from http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...-2.6.14.tar.gz

I need to load a specific arm cross compiler also over this processor, and a crosstool also.
In case I am successful in loading all these files over my processor, then how this version of kernel is different from the on ewhich comes in redhat 9.0 or RHEL 4.
Does this specific kernel version will have all utility builtin as in a normal kernel???
How to check which all utility are there?
My application is to capture video using a webcam , this webcam (Logitech pro 9000)is using uvc chip., So which all drivers and utilities are needed in this kernel????

regards,
DPS

Hi
i really dont understand what you want to archive but if you want to load a kernel reboot and load into the kernel you want
and if you want to use that kernel as your default kernel go into /boot/grub/menu.lst and change the default kernel to the one you want it to be
also you can query what kernels you have installed by
rpm -qa | grep kernel
to uninstall
rpm -e kernel-(version)
hope thats helpful
