Install more one Linux distribution on the same PC

Hi - I'm currently running Debian on my AMD K6 II PC. It's the only operating system on my PC. The PC has only 1 hard drive (20 Gigs) & there's more than 10 gigs of free space. My partitions are as follows; hdc1 - boot; hdc2 - root and hdc3 - swap.. Is it possible to install & run more than one Linux distribution on the same PC? If yes, where do I get the instructions?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

You can simply install another linux. Linux can be installed on logical partitions. A bootloader (lilo or grub) could boot both. You can share swap between them, nice . I've done it too. Only getting the one linux booted by the other was a little difficult. Try google for more info, or the manpages of your bootloader

if you don't want to reinstall both OSes you need to resize your filesystems and partitions, which is quite tricky, and risky.
it would be a good learning experience, but don't do it if you use this machine for anything important.
