I want to setup up a webserver on this Compaq Proliant 2500 Server. I tryied it first with suse 9.0 but I couldn't boot with Suse. Then I booted with debian 9.0, it worked. But Debian coulden't find any Disks. Thats because the Raid isn't configured.
If I want to configure the raid I have to do it with SmartStart 5.30.
SmartStart 5.30 is a Compaq Application to setup easy a Compaq Server.
I configured the raid and I made an array, but Debian still doesn't reconised any available Disks.

Did somebody ever setup up any Linux distribution on an old Compaq Server. ex: Compaq Proliant 2500.

Someone mentioned Fedora and Redhat distro's are the only ones that recognize raid on boot from the CD.

And also someone said that from playing with the bios, they changed like from enhanced to mixed or something and after got some stuff installed configured the raid and reset the bios.
and it worked.
Id wait for other replies, but I hope this sheds some light.
