How to play a mov file


How will I play play a quick time movie (.MOV) in Linux,

I tried mplayer,xine,vlc all failed.


any help ....

Did you installed the w32codecs ?
vlc and mplayer should be able to play mov files.

Yeah VLC should work fine.

Also, i think libvlc has all the codecs in it, so no extra installation is required (providing you used an intelligent package manager, if not install libvlc from your distro's repos).
