Wink how to lock file folder in a repository in subversion server in ubuntu


i have kown how to lock file in subversion,such as ' svn lock tree.jpg'
but i don't down how to lock file folder,
i create the repositoryroject1
project1/trunk
/tags
/branches
/branch_user1
/branch_user2
i need to lock a branch before merging
and how to unlock the branch after locked
any one can help me ?

To lock a folder, use the following command:

sudo chmod -R 0600 foldername
To unlock a folder, reset the permissions as they were previously.
That's also done with the "chmod" command.

I don't think OP is looking for information about locking filed/folders in a filesystem but on how to lock SVN branches which is quite different.

@OP: Have a look at this page. That should help you out.
