How print file from my OLPC X/O to my Brother printer?
Hi,
I am a retired systems programmer. I've used hexydex and several computer languages. but never learned Linux.
I also have an ew X/O from the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project ...which I am very enthused about !!!!!!!
I have started to learn Linux in order to put extra programs an Services onto my X/O. I am very new at this and you'll see that I proceed by trial and error.
I am now trying to connect my X/O to my Brother wireless printer. I found "sudo" commands , and have installed CUPS, a brother driver, etc. I have gotten my X/O to find and enable the printer queue for Brother, put things in it,
and I even sent and printed 1 page of material...but it wasn't the page I thought I was sending!!!
Has anyone else connected to a Brother printer successfully? What sequence of command?
Here are several commands and files I have used? Can anyone tell me what I am missing???
