How can you change permissions on a folder for other users?


How can you change permissions on a folder for other users? (in windows you just right click and there you have the security tab... cannot Linux be as simple as Windows?)

P.S. I'm using Debian Linux

In a terminal, as root, you can use the chmod command.

You should be able to do something similar in Nautilus/Konqueror/whatever file manager you're using.
