Angry Help with ftp


any know how to send a directory and all its contents including the directory
to an ftp site ??

i use ncftp.
any way using another program wont be a problem

I haven't every used the program, but couldn't you tarball it, send it, and then untar it?

Sorry if I am way off it left field, like I said I haven't ever used this prog, and I am not familiar with "sending" folders to FTP sites.

you didnt get my point..
i only have ftp access on the other box and i want to upload a directory wich has many directories inside..

Ahh, I see. Try using a 'cp -a /directory' to the host machine. Is that any better, or still totally wrong?

Also, you may want to try out a GUI ftp client, like gftp and such. Just an idea.

So the cp -a doesn't work?

Got the solution, use ncftp put -R directoryname
