If you mean, can i access an ftp server through a webpage, the answer has allways been YES!!!! Both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator can both access FTP. Instead of using http://www.google.com you would use ftp://user@192.168.1.1:81 or somthing to that effect.

If it's the ftp server you are asking about, most linux distributions have an ftp server built in. It's usually just a case of turning it on.

I run slackware, and proftpd is there by default.

I don't think that's what he's taling about. Try Philex. I forgot the website (www.philex.org or http://philex.sourceforge.net/)

I think it's the second one. Hope it helps.

Thumbs up

I know this thread is almost a decade old, but I just found MonstaFTP which for me worked out of the box. net2ftp was giving some issues.

I wanted something clean and basic, and MonstaFTP just did the job for me. Hope this helps someone.
