im on the search for the perfect distro, and ive tried suse, mdk, and fedora core 2, fedora core 2 was my latest venture, and it ran sluggish on my box, so i decided to test yet another, so i took my box to my freinds place, and downloaded yoper. i burned the iso to a cd from windows, and rebooted into cd. all starts off well, i get to partition my drives, and i want linux to have its own hdd, so i have a 20 gig for it, i make a swap file of 256mb and use the rest for a file system ext 3. then i proceed to the next step and it tells me there is no linux file system. and installation failed.
and when i reboot without the yoper cd in, grub wont boot into windows from my fc2 install.
any ideas?
i wish i could be more specific on the error messages, but right now the only working comp i have is at work.
