glxgears problem

Hello all,

when I type 'glxgears' into a terminal console, I get the following error:

Code:

glxgears: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/xorg/libGL.so.1: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission Denied

Supertux also returns same message when trying to run Supertux.

Distro is Fedora Core 6, Graphics card is an ATI, xorg.conf specifies 'radeon' driver currently.

just something - are you running glxgears as root ?

try reinstalling Xorg, it seems you have a dependency issue which, to the most part, are rather simple to fix. (use the FC package management system to make sure you do a good job).
