hi,

I installed the NVIDIA kernel for my Geforce IV on my FC3.(just like I did on my FC2)
but when I open a Konsole and typ the "glxgears" command:

Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
glxgears: Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual.

Some games like tuxracer won't work either:

open up ( as root) /etc/X11/xorg.conf and look for this line:

# This loads the GLX module
Load "glx"

if it looks like this:

# This loads the GLX module
# Load "glx"

you need to remove the # in front of the " Load ". ( make it look like the first one).

Also , make sure you are using the nvidia driver not the nv one ( also in the xorg.conf file):

Section "Device"
Identifier "NVIDIA GeForce"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "NoLogo" "1"
#VideoRam 131072
# Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection
