getting rid of the red hat nework alert icon
I have this RH Network alert icon which loads every time I boot up. I can exit out of it, but I would like to shut it off for good, and not have it load when the system starts. I have looked at several config opitons, including the Config Editor that comes with GNOME. thanks

Just a shot in the dark, since you made the 0 replies list, and you're
post is probably off the board otherwise...
Right-click on the toolbar and then Remove button?

I got rid of it on my system by uninstalling up2date and Red Hat Network. To find which rpm's to remove, use "rpm -qa | grep rhn" and "rpm -qa | grep up2date" You can then remove the relevant ones using "rpm -e filename".
I hope this helps

Uninstalling should only be done if you want to actually remove it from your system. If you plan on using up2date sometime, you can just do what Chinaman said and right click and remove from panel.
If for some weird reason it loads up again, check with the properties on up2date. There should be some sort of option to toggle the button on and off.
