Red Hat Network Alert Notification Tool 2.1.7 does not see new kernel
I have recently installed FC2 and seem to have one problem with Red Hat Network Alert Notification Tool 2.1.7 that I can not figure out. I ran up2date from the tool and upgraded my kernel to 2.6.8-1.521. However the Alert Notification Tool keep saying that there is new kernel to install. When I open the tool it shows:
Package Name Version Installed Available
kernel-doc kernel-doc-2.6.5-1.358 kernel-doc-2.6.8-1.521:, ....( 5 more kernels here)
I verify that I am running 2.6.8-2.521 by doing a uname -a and it shows:
Linux Fedora1 2.6.8-1.521 #1 Mon Aug 16 09:01:18 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Lin
When I click on the Launch up2date button in the Alert Tool it eventually says that my system is up to date (which it is). Where does the Alert Tool get it's information on just what kernel your running (it obviously has the wrong data)? Does anyone know how I can fix this???
Thanks,
Jim Rausch
