Exclamation Getting message upon login

Whenever I am login I am getting a below message not sure what's wrong:

-bash: set: -0: invalid option
set: usage: set [-abefhkmnptuvxBCHP] [-o option-name] [--] [arg ...]

I must have done something wrong and now I don't know how to fix it. Please help.

You probably edited /etc/bashrc or ~/.bashrc and made an error. Check there first.

I checked the file and I have made one entry in that file. I have set -0 noclobber

If I type $ bash - I am getting below output

[Nik@server1 ~]$ bash
bash: set: -0: invalid option
set: usage: set [-abefhkmnptuvxBCHP] [-o option-name] [--] [arg ...]

How do I fix it?

Please ignore my above comment. I had set -0 noclobber.

Instead I should have wrote set -o noclobber in the .bashrc file.

Issue has been resolved now. Thank you and sorry for my typo in the .bashrc file

Errors happen to all of us. Being aware of the changes we make and fixing the error is the hard part since that requires thought and reading messages.

I often tend to assume that everything I do is right and the errors then slap me in the face and make me be more careful in the future.

Glad that you sorted that out and fixed it.
