Question Flicker in picture when playing movies in mplayer

Hi

I'm new to linux, but want to learn and use it. I have searched the internet and this site to get any solutions to the following problem, but no results....maybe one of you could help me (i will jump trow the roof is anyone have a solution )

I bought a new graphic-card to use tv-out and watch movies (divX...) on my tv. I have installed mplayer (got help from a friend who really knows a lot about linux, but he didn't know how to solve this), and the newest codecs.

I have some very annoying screen flicker both om my monitor and on my tv when watching movies....i've tried some other videoout options in mplayers config-file but nothing is helping.

I have a MSI FX5600, Asus A7N8X Deluxe, XP2400...if this might have anything to do with my problem.

Please help

Do you have the correct drivers for your card? Linux will install generic drivers which will get you going, but for the full effect you need to grab the latest Linux drivers for your graphics card.
