Flicker/distortion in picture when playing movies

Hi

I bought a new graphic-card MSI FX5600 to use tv-out and watch movies (divX,Xvid...) on my tv. I have installed mplayer and the newest codecs extralite.

I have some very annoying screen flicker both om my monitor and on my tv when watching movies....i've tried some other videoout options in mplayers config-file but nothing is helping. It's mostly in sceenes with much horizontal movement.

I have installed the newest drivers for nvidia graphic cards.

Please help

hdparm /dev/dvd
will show settings for your dvd drive
hdparm -d1 /dev/dvd will set dma mode on
assuming your /dev/dvd is symlinked to the right device.
