Fedora core 5 install help!!!


hey im new to linux and wanted to install fedora core 5 on to my new server but everytime i get to the like 4th step where it asks for root password creation it gives me this error 256 " metadata package problem then no.... on more mirors to try" wjats this mean and what can i do to fix it?

Just curios but does it ask to install updates from there server at anytime in the installation?

naw man it just says error 256 unreadable metadata package.

Network Availability

During install, the package manager is trying to download the packages required to complete the install. What is your network like? Can you describe your hardware, network, and internet connection type? This is all useful (and probably necessary) in order to diagnose your problem.
