fedora core installation problem

hi im new to LInux cuz i cant stand windows so im downlaoding the fedora core and my friend is walking me throgh it when it comes to the root acount password creation screen.After that I hit next and it gives me error 256 evertime "Unable to read metadata package....NO more mirrors to try" Can someone tell me what I got to do in a beginners sort of aspect?
