Unhappy Extraction Failed: RTCW - Enemy Territory (using Mandrake 9.1)

Greetings!

I really need your useful help.

My Linux distribution is Mandrake 9.1 and i'm having some troubles with Return to Castle Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory Game Client for Linux.

I'm not able to install this amazing game because of the following error: "Extraction failed, signal caught... cleaning up."

I've had this extraction error several times and i did install the game sucessfully... but since i did a format (with PartitionMagic 8) on my Linux partition and reinstalled Mandrake 9.1, the extraction error is permanent!

I tried to run the file "et-linux-2.55.x86.run" (258 mb) with Konqueror in normal user mode and super user mode (as root), but the extraction fails all the time!

I also tried to run it with the following terminal commands, (always) as root: "./et-linux-2.55.x86.run" and "sh et-linux-2.55.x86.run" with no luck at all!

I really do not understand this error because i did install and play this game a lot of times before reinstalling Mandrake 9.1 again!

The file "et-linux-2.55.x86.run" is saved/located at my ntfs backup partition (120 gb ide), scanned with no errors and no viruses!
I also have a copy of this file on cd but still cannot install it -- i did it before sucessfully!

Some of my friends told me that the file may be corrupted and that took me to download the game file installer again, within Mandrake and saved it directly onto my home folder (linux partition), but as you can guess... the extraction failed too!

My buddies from IRC told me to check the free disk space --- My Linux Installation is using 10 GB of my Drive and i'm plenty of free space.

They also said that may be i needed to move the TMP folder.
I have a startup option that cleans my TMP folder everytime i restart Mandrake. Do i really need to move this temporary folder to another place?

I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO MORE!
PLEASE, HELP ME!

SEND ME YOUR FEEDBACK TO:

nact79@msn.com and/or andre.teixeira@mail.pt

Thank You Very Much For Your Time!

Regards!
