Can you type in "gcc" at a prompt, and get it to return anything?? You're saying it's set and it's in your path, but the configuration program can't find it...it probably searches your path.

As root, type in "find / gcc" at a prompt. Look for what it returns, and make sure that directory is in your path.

when i type gcc i get command not found. I think it did not get installed properly.

Can some one show me the right links to download and install a gcc?

Thanks in advance!

I plan to install gcc-3.4.3.rpm4.tar.Z on my linux system. How do I install this rpm package? When I unzip this I get the below files, do I have to install all of them if so in which order?

TWWgcc343-doc-3.4.3-11.x86_64.rpm
TWWgcc343-3.4.3-11.x86_64.rpm
TWWgcc343-librun-3.4.3-11.x86_64.rpm
TWWgcc343-man-3.4.3-11.x86_64.rpm

Thanks!
