Dependencies Download???


Hi experts,

i am not having net at home and i face big problems while installing any multimedia softwares. It shows dependencies error. IS there any package that can have all commonly needed dependency libs.??

I am using fedora 8

Welcome to Linux way of things.

Most applications have a lot of dependencies, just download'em all and install.

Usually the package manager downloads all the necessary dependencies for you.
How did you try to install the software? If you use the Fedoras... yum I think it is, it should download all necessary packages.

hey,
Whether v can use yum, without having net., will it work.???
Is there any softwares available, to download all dependencies automatically...??

Look at "man yum". The topic you are looking for is "yum localinstall"

You can setup local repositories as suggested above. You can also use your dvd as as a local repo, just follow the instructions here.
