Dear all,
Recently i have finished Linux box with RH9. Its has cups server for printing.
All other clients has lpd printing server.
If user wants to print anyone of network printer which is configured in cups server(RH9), then print out not using filters properly.
If i print from cups server PC (RH9) to lpd clients , its printing fine.

print Works : cups servers -->lpd client

print not works : job from lpd client ---> cups server (sends to lpd client printer) -----> lpd client

thing is cups server is central printing server , all printing jobs first goes to cups server(RH9) then it will decide where it will send print jobs to proper printer.

I hope u all understand my problem.

If you use KDE, open the Control Center. Go to Peripherals->Printers and you will see the printers available. Check each printer's Properties->USERS to see whether all users are allowed to print.

Also check whether the CUPS server is actually running or not. You can access it using the web interface at http://127.0.0.1:631/

Thanx for ur reply. Actually cups working fine, but print out coming white paper nothing has to be printed. It prints "Adobe % ..... " something like this only printing.
This happens if i give print command from lpd client.
If i give print from cups server it prints fine without error. But i want the print from lpd client to cups server
