am still a beginner on linux thats really true may Allah help me in solving this issue

the archived file :
tells me No such File while it exists
and i searched the web but no way till now

sorry this issue is over and finally finished successfully but i don't know where to tell this forum that this issue finished sorry again

when doing s -l ~/Downloads
it tells me ls: cannot access '/root/Downloads': No such file or directory
Perhaps you should identify your Linux distribution as well as indicate if you're logged in as root, or another username.
Other suggestion is to type these commands, copy all of the information from your command prompt, including the parts where you typed these commands, and post that here:

$ whoami
$ cd $HOME
$ pwd
$ ls
$ cd Downloads
$ ls-l
In addition to what rtmistler suggested* it occurs to me that if you’re looking in Downloads, you are probably using a browser, which you typically wouldn’t (shouldn’t) do as root.
