CDRW and Drivers

Ya so im in the right section as this is probably one of the most n00b questions alive.

First off in linux i cant read any information on 95% of my CDRW? is this normal since Linux is so different? I burned them using different software, mainly Nero

Second of all, i need some drivers for Linux and have found them but when i burn them to a CD i cant read the CD in linux so it does me no good, one of these is to try and fix my modem problem, so really thats the only one i need since once i have access to the net ill be fine.

Any suggestions or progs to use in w******* that will work to read in Linux?

Are you using packet-type software of the drag and drop variety to put files on the cdrw? If so, don't. Write a proper cdrw with proper directories etc. or you won't be able to read it without some tinkering.

Post really

It shouldn't matter what OS you use. It's the same file system. Post your fstab file. It's in /etc directory. I suspect there is something missing there.
