Hi,

I'm trying to access files from my Program Files folder in my windows partition. The problem is, I can't see anything in it! I tried allowing all files to be seen and I can see everything else in my partition. Any assistance would be helpful thanks.

We need more information.

Are you accessing it from the same system?
Is it a mounted drive on linux?
What service are you using (ie Samba)?

We will need as much detail as you can provide.

I am indeed accessing it through the same system, windows is a mounted drive on linux. And as far as the services go.. not really sure because doesn't Samba involve accessing the system through another computer?

Now that I know that the Windows Drive is a mounted drive on the same system, what is your /etc/fstab entry for that drive?

Are there any errors when mounting the drive on startup?

Also, how are you mounting the drive, manually or auto?

Lastly, what are the permission set to on the drive when mounted?

I'm not familiar how to check those things...how would I go about doing those?

As far as mounting the drive, I believe the drive was mounted automatically.

Give results of those too outputs. Without using 'mount' or 'umount' commands.
