can the mail message be changed ?

wud like to know can the mail notification message be changed in pine i am using rh 7.3 whenever a mail arrives i get a notification message as "You have mail in /var/spool/mail/userid " i wud like to change it to "U Got Mail"

r ther any files that do let me change the notification message moreover i dont have the root rights ??

Can't find it in the configuration file, so I guess you need to modify the source code and recompile...
