aspire one need a linux distrubtion

I have an ACER aspire one one GB ram I have peppermint on it now but it is no longer supported.

With 1 GB of memory, you can try Zorin OS 9 Lite or AntiX and see how they work.

most lightweight linuxes should work.

a little more information would be good - the aspire one series has lots of different models. esp: ssd or hard drive, and how large.
graphics.

I installed an Arch (almost two years ago) with KDE and all was good, just some tricks with network cards; recently I put LMDE (1 and 2) on a newer model, both with mate, as cinnamon is too heavy for the graphic card (no 3d support on some models). No huge memory usage, all installation are able to run Firefox/Chrome with Flash.

ADD: I tried Debian 8.0 on a D270 and it had kernel panic related to cpufreq.

i guess that means a real hard drive, no ssd or sd-card?

20GB is enough for any lightweight distro, and should leave you some space for data, too.
