Excuse me guys--this is your friendly moderator. We do not ask people to post in English and then turn around and start posting replies in another language. Please don't do that again.
I can offer a couple of alternative translations (including post title):
Frengly.com
Quote:
Help Hello I like Linux a lot after my experience it and I want to Ahtervh
World lingo
Quote:
His
assistant the peace on you I is loved regime to hang at half-mast a lot after attempt for him and wanted that [aaHtrfh]
I can only suggest that the frengly and google translations look vaguely similar, but World Lingo looks to give a translation of something completely different (emphasising why we can't really deal with posts in this way).
None of them seem to understand that last word...maybe a typo?
Isn't cutting and pasting right-to-left languages a pain?
There is a possible suggestion that the OP likes Linux (yeah! good start!) and that he or she wants to do something after this introductory post, but it is completely unclear what. I have no idea what the translation services would do with something like an abbreviation such as MCSE (in Arabic, of course), but it may well be something like that.
Are you not discriminating against the OP on the grounds of his race or ethnic background? IANAL, but I don't think you can insist on people using English - that's straight discrimination where I come from.
You just imagine how someone's humourless, over zealous power crazy need to moderate could end up getting a whole site shut down for racial abuse...... just sayin'

All member-created content should be in English. This allows our moderators to ensure all content complies with all LQ rules.
2) Most moderators here don't understand foreign languages, so if a member attacked someone or advertized in a foreign language no-one can take care of it.
But I still think it's just plain rude of them that you can't even post small sentences in a foreign language.
Sure, most people here know English and the moderators may have an issue with Arabic or non English. But I don't think you can legally insist anyone posts in Englsih - I may be wrong but that appears to be plain old discrimination. I don't think you can even make it a condition to post in English. Still, plenty of other Linux forums out there ;-)
Not if a rule would break a law ;-) I take it there are laws on discriminating against individuals based on their ethnicity in the US where the site is hosted? No? May be worth checking with Softlayer just to be sure they don't have some AUP pertaining to restricting people based on ethnic background.
Just wondering if Linus dropped in here and posted in Icelandic, would pixellany be anal about it or would he kiss his ass? Mmmm. It's a tough shout.....
