I use Mozilla as my default browser. Frequently I browse pages that contain strange characters ( ie 張勵善). Is this do a font package not being installed? If so how do I fix this?:confused

They are most likely Japaneese or Chinese characters.

You probably see the OK (the ones you posted are OK for me ).

If you look in your "software manager" facility (in my case it's the mandrake control centre - but you should have a deadrat equivalent) and look to see just how many different language support packages there are - umpteen different oriental languages (Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese), with even more asian (Tamil/Gujarati/Urdu/Hindi/Bengali/Punjabi etc etc), not to mention the Cyrilic languages of Russian/Polish/Greek etc, then there's the extra European stuff for accented vowel in German, French, Dutch and the Scandanavian languages etc etc etc

Shed loads of stuff. I would have thought that if a site has language stuff that you haven't installed, then like me, you would probably get something like a notification - well I do from google!

If you speak them, install them, if not then you probably can't read them anyhow!

p.s. I nearly forgot, there's always Arabic, farsi and hebrew to add to the list as well.

Point taken... I do like the idea of a auto redirect to a tranlation engine though. That would searching for something much easier. I suppose that would be a plug-in for the browser. Is there anything like that available?
