wget won't authenticate with a MPS 2.0 Proxy

I'm trying to get through a Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 using wget. Mozilla has also been failling to get throught. Each time I try to use wget I get a 407 auth error, but to the best of my knowledge I have set the right configuration.

http_proxy = http://exampledomain\exampleaccount:...

Is it something as simple as the format in the configuration of wgetrc. ? The proxy isn't set to only NTLM auth, it allows regular auth as well. I've been playing around with the format trying to get it to work, but I always get the same error.

I don't mind reading manuals, but I've been trying to find a solution for some time now. Any howtos out there?
