I want to download ftp-site files via wget and socks5 proxy server.

my /etc/wgetrc is
Quote:
ftp_proxy = 162.105.156.31:1080
use_proxy = on

my /etc/libsocks5.conf is
Quote:
socks5 - - - - 162.105.156.31
but .... when I run "runsocks wget ftp://166.111.172.55/incoming/as3/g...s1007000000.zip"

Quote:
--16:36:04-- ftp://166.111.172.55/incoming/as3/g...s1007000000.zip
=> `gravity_s1007000000.zip'
Connecting to 162.105.156.31:1080... connected.
Proxy request sent, awaiting response...
Read error (Connection reset by peer) in headers.
Retrying.
.......

and then , I try to run runsocks ftp 166.111.172.55 , ftp-connection worked properly.

How can I fix the error with runsocks wget, pls help me

Have you tried passing the proxy username and password options if any defined?

wget --proxy-user=user --proxy-password=password <file to download>

Or does this proxy server support the "Range" header? I read that only proxy servers using http that support the "Range" header are supported by wget, no others currently are that I am aware of.
