I'm having a very strange problem with my mandrake internet. For over six months I have had a mandrake 9.0 server running; no problems. Later I put mandrake 9.2 on a dual boot with my windows computer. This is when things got odd.
Internet did not work on that dual-boot. Everything was properly configured; I tried both DHCP and static. After installing mandrake PPC 9.1 on a spare mac at my house, I had the *exact* same problem. Now for the really weird thing: after working flawlessly for six months, my server (mandrake 9.0, you'll recall) suddenly encounters the same problem. Now I KNOW this one is properly configured, it was working for a very long time. I thought about a DNS problem, but I can't even ping my router via IP. I receive "Destination Host Unreachable" messages. Here's some relevant info....
ifconfig:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:50:BA:4D:01:1B
inet addr:192.168.0.102 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

Actually I don't think the above post will help much. You do need to set the default gateway but I don't know what that is. It looks like most likely it will be 192.168.0.1.
