Vsftpd Error

I was trying to stop by vsFTPd server on Debian and received the following error...

Code:
cwilliams@shark:~$ /etc/init.d/vsftpd stop
Stopping FTP server: vsftpd/etc/init.d/vsftpd: line 27: start-stop-daemon: command not found
**NEVERMIND - I don't know why it did not remind me I was a regular user...***
