Question Streaming Music


Hi guys, I used to have an acct. with www.shoutcast.com for my web radio. Now I have a dedicated server that uses Fedora. Now, how do I stream my music so users can listen to it. I'm getting an error 401. Has someone done this before? Thanks for you help!!

Have you resolved this? I had a shoutcast stream going for a while. Let me know if you need help.

No friend I have not resolve the problem. Please help!! I was trying to set up a streaming program which I don't remember the name right now. Please let me know how you set up your server.

I use Icecast to do my streaming. It's moderately straightforward to configure with Ices, so if you decide to use different streaming server software, check it out.

I just followed the guides linked to from the icecast site. Had a few small issues doing it, but I did it while working on my 12th hour in a tech lab with a bunch of really hot machines at college - so it should be a breeze under normal circumstances If you need any help or have any questions, let me know.

Talking I'm back

Hi Social me and my friend have gotten a dedicated server and we are planning to upload all music files to the server and stream from there. So, since you offer help we are ready for your help! Please let me know how to start or a good tutorial.
