HI,

i am running squid as a demo to my teacher.

the problem is that my squid can access the internet through the the squid of our institute.

my system admins wont give me a global IP or let me bypass the institutue's squid.

so ok i ran this command and every thing seemed to be ok.

then i went on to a windows client and configured the browser to access the internet through my squid.

the result was

Connection failed

(113) No route to host

can any one tell me what is the problem . when i sit on the squid server and access the net it is ok cause ofcourse i dont go through my squid to access the internet. i connect directly to the internet through the institutue's squid.

so why is the client not being able to get access to web pages?

cache_peer proxy.my_isp.net.tr parent 8080 3130
acl ISP_proxy src ip_of_isp_proxy
icp_access allow ISP_proxy --> i dont know if it is necessary

if i add these lines in my squid.conf i can use my ISP's proxy server trough my squid. maybe u need like that config.
