Squid load testing software / Squid optimisation?

Greetings!

I have an old machine that runs nothing but masquerading and a squid proxy for a small Lan. The specs are:
- Pentium MMX 200
- 140 MB RAM
- 4GB HDD
- ADSL 768 kbit/s downstream ;128 kbit/s upstream

Squid has been running for months now and I have been very content with it. However any time I check I seem to have around 50-70MB of free memory which is not being used either for squid or for system buffer/cache. I now increased the memory settings in squid's config file but I don't want to overdo it. So I want to find an optimal setting but this is not easy to achieve since the Lan doesn't have many clients. Thus I figured that some kind of software that simulates multiple clients accessing the proxy would be very helpful. But on google and forums I can only seem to find programs that are made primarily (or exclusively) to test webservers. Could any of you please point me to a website where I can find such a program that is used to test www proxy performance?

Thanks for your reply. It is certainly not easy to find something that I want as most results are something like "web server stress test tool. [...] Includes proxy server for recording playback scripts, [...]".

But I finally found something that may suit my needs at http://www.web-polygraph.org/. I apologize for not having looked around thoroughly enough.
