If you only have Linux clients, use the commandline prog printconf-tui to set up the local printer.
It will then be available on tcp port 515 once you restart lpd
Remote clients can then access it by using a standard Unix Print Queue , giving the name of the printer and the ip address,
eg HP_1200@192.168.1.1 in their printconf-tui settings.
If you've got Windoze clients, set it up under samba and load the drivers into the Win machines using the browse names.
eg
