Setup dual dial-up modem?


does anyone know how to setup two dial-up modem running in redhat linux9 concurrently with one account?

With one account I dont think you can.


Normally you can only login to an isp account once.

yes, multilink does work if the server on the other end also supports it.

Actually it would be one account, it would be known as a multilink account.

I'm not aware of any that are available.

You would setup two dialup connections

ppp0 and ppp1

add this line to /etc/ppp/options

multilink

or this

mp

after added the line "multilink" or "mp" to file /etc/ppp/options...will it can dial-up to the internet using two connections concurrently?

I believe you would dial the one first, say ppp0, then after it is connected and shows up in ifconfig you would dial the second one with multilink in it's options.
