setting up a DNS server

We have a linux server at school. our small, but efficient group has set up the following services DHCP, E-mail, Web hosting, IRC, FTP, Router, SMB. we now need to set up a DNS server for our subnet. we have reveiwed the /etc/named.conf file. so any web pages are help you could offer on setting it up

If you are planning to use BIND then check out the DNS howto on http://www.tldp.org. The O'Reilly DNS & Bind book is especially good if you can borrow a copy from somewhere.
