Setting mandrake for ip masq

I was having trouble setting up mandrake 8.1 to use my network.

I have a linux gateway using ip masq I was trying to get my mandrake box to connect to it but was having trouble, I entered the dns into /etc/resolv.conf set its ip address but I am unsure of what else I have to do and what files I have change.
If someone can help me out or point to a link that would be great.

I would have to say static speaking you really don't have to configure dhcp.
