Samba, Windows XP issues

Seemingly overnight, I am having major problems connecting to my samba server from an XP machine. I can get a directory listing, and even browse, but the moment I access a file, it freezes. From a windows 98 machine there is no problem. I have tested it from both XP sp2 machines and machines that did not have sp2 installed, same problem. Could it be a bug with the newest version of samba? Anyone else with these problems? Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Thanks,
Norman

Simple!
Just add this line
use sendfile=no

in the [global] section of your smb.conf

This will work.
Don't forget to restart samba.

Thanks!

That did the trick. Very strange, but very simple.
