Samba + Windows: Password Issues
I'm running the latest rpm release version of Samba on RH9 and it seems to not like me when it comes to user passwords... here's what I'm running into.
Everyone once in a while a user will restart their machine and when it comes back up, it won't be able to log into the Samba server with a bad password error. If I log into the server and reset their password in Linux (not in Samba) to the same thing is ALREADY was, it lets them in. It happens randomly and with random users. Of the 30 some odd users, 1 it happens to all the time, and 1 or 2 it happen randomly, but everyone else has no problems. Even one of the people that has no problems has the same password as one of the people that has the problem....
Any ideas?
Clients are Win2k and WinXP and I have sync unix passwords to "no" (I did have it set to "yes", but it was still happening, so I turned it off to test)... other than that, cups printing to the 4 network printers is great and everything else is running smooth, so it's baffling me.
Thanks!
